Discover Scuba Diving in Playa del Carmen

Overview

If you aren’t ready to do the certification course, discover scuba diving is for you!

It is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

Student prerequisites:

• Minimum age 10

Course content:

• Basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive
• Scuba equipment
• Key skills that you’ll use during every scuba dive
• Practice in the swimming pool
• 2 dives

These half-day dives are ideal for beginners and those with little diving experience. Playa del Carmen is a worldwide well-known destination. The diving sites are all nearby, a few minutes by boat will be enough to access them. You will be delighted by the diversity of biodiversity of the dive sites.

You will explore the most colorful and interesting diving sites of the second largest coral reef in the world. There is a large variety of dives spots, many corals and marine fauna: tropical reef fish, sponges, lobsters, groupers, sea fans, turtles, moray eels, rays, angelfish, stingrays, sergeant majors and bull sharks (from November to March).

You will have an introductory course on the basics of diving and equipment knowledge. You will dive in the pool to try out equipment, learn how to breathe with the regulator and equalize pressure. 

After these 2 dives, if you wish, you can start the Open Water Diver course PADI very well because we will consider this dive as the beginning of the course. Open Water Diver is the first level of certification. This worldwide certificate allows you to dive up to 18 meters.
