This course is your second step in diving certification. It has much less theory and much more practice and fun in the open water. After your Open Water Diver course is done, you are considered to be a confident diver who knows the basics about being safe in the open water. So Advanced Open Water course will provide you with new advanced knowledge, skills, and challenges! It consists of five advanced adventure dives. Two are necessary and can not be changed - deep and navigation adventure dives. You will learn how to navigate under the water, use your compass, what procedures to follow when planning to go deep, and make deep dives up to 30 meters safe and enjoyable. You will choose three more dives depending on your interests and future plans in diving. Here is the list of options:
After you finish AOWD course, each of these dives can be counted as the first specialty dive out of 3 needed in every specialty. As a result, your depth limit will be extended to 30 meters which is necessary for some of the best diving locations in the world, like Cocos island or the Galapagos.
Course schedule:
It will take 2 to 3 days to complete the course with five dives in the open water. You can only make three training dives in the open water by the standards within one day. Your schedule will be based on the Advance Adventure dives you choose with your instructor.
